Shooting People Mobile Cinema - Reptile Day has been selected
as one of the short films shown in the Shooting People Mobile
Cinema. This travels around the UK showing a selection of
short films in small local venues. Apparently, the Mobile Cinema is
also due to travel to the USA. The first show of Reptile Day with
the Mobile Cinema was at the Port
Elliot Litfest, Cornwall. The organiser wrote
this of the event: "I felt the audience slightly start to lag.
I was prepared for this though and put on 'Reptile Day' next which
thankfully works in front of audience as well as I'd hoped it would."

UK Premier - Tom and Anita attended the CAPTION Comic Festival
for the first public showing of Reptile Day. The venue was the charming
old cinema the Ultimate Picture Palace in Oxford. Tom gave a short presentation
before the film and took Q&A afterwards. The response was great,
with loads of laughs, expressions of incredulous joy and applause at
the end. It was especially rewarding for Tom to hear the laughs
– it was a clear demonstration that the film really works.
Big thanks to Daniel Hartwell, Selina Lock and their team for organising
the show.

Self-congratulatory
get-together....! After rushing to finish the edit in
time for the Cannes festival, the short film is now complete. We had
a private showing at the Curzon, Soho on
April 23rd. Appropriately, this was St George's Day, that day when a
saint slayed an evil reptile! |
